    • Medicare Schemes – Including the Mental Health Care Plan (Better Access Mental Health Scheme), Eating Disorder Management Plan, and Chronic Disease Management Plan

  • An Accredited Mental Health OT has met the rigorous endorsement criteria outlined by Medicare and Australian Occupational Therapy Association which includes:

    • At least two years of full time equivalent supervised mental health experience as a qualified occupational therapist;

    • Training and experience in the use of mental health risk assessments (including mental state assessments) and safety planning;

    • Continued registration with AHPRA (Occupational Therapy Board of Australia);

    • Complete 10 hours of CPD per year on focussed psychological strategies / mental health;

    • Engage in supervision requirements to maintain endorsement and keep a record of this;

    • Maintain Occupational Therapy Australia - Membership.
